SUMMARY:Peak 9365 - Keysville
DESCRIPTION:We attempted this peak via Bair Canyon as a snowshoe activity in winter. But we did not make it because lots of snow slowed down our pace. We will try to make this peak without snow this time. On maintained trail all the way except the last short section to the summit. Approximately 10+ miles RT with 4700+ ft gain. SUMMARY:Black Mt via Emigration Canyon
DESCRIPTION:It is possible to hike to Black Mt (8255 ft) from the Avenue side or the Emigration Canyon side. But we plan to go there from the Emigration Canyon side. I have hiked this route solo close to the summit but did not go to the summit. Approximately 9 miles RT with 2000 ft gain. There are steep sections. There is no trail for the last one mile. DESCRIPTION:We plan to bag Reynolds Peak in BCC\, weather\, conditions and situation permitting. We may also go to Tom’s Hill. If we do Reynolds Peak only and out and back\, the distance will be 6.6 miles RT with 2103 feet gain. Going to Tom’s Hill and making a loop add slight distance but not a lot. SUMMARY:Escape the Noise- Ogden Coldwater Canyon
DESCRIPTION:November. Nice Fall hike. The Major Flag is a 150-by 78 ft American Flag that will be in Coldwater Canyon for Veterans Week starting approximately Nov. 7. The flag typically flies for approximately 2 weeks surrounding Veteran’s Day to honor former North Ogden Mayor Major Brent Taylor who was killed in 2018. This is a busy hike with lots of people hiking to see the flag. Monday\, Nov 16 at 4 pm. (Weather dependent). Meet at the 2750 Trail head in North Ogden. This is one of Ogden’s most iconic November hikes. It is approximately 3 miles. Takes about 2 hours to do the whole loop. 1\,170 ft elevation gain. If the weather is warm\, we can make ice cream on our hike. Dog friendly. Yes. Keep Dogs on the leash as we expect a lot of hikers. Kid Friendly. Yes. Paved parking and restrooms at the parking lot. Slow to moderate pace.
