SUMMARY:Labyrinth and Stillwater Canyons – Zen Kayaking/Canoeing Trip
DESCRIPTION:Calling all sea kayakers and canoeists for a prime fall foliage paddle on the Green river. It is 121 miles total for both canyons\, plan to paddle ~16 miles and ~4 hrs per day\, stopping at all of the sites.  Using Tex’s Riverways for a jet boat shuttle back to Moab ($215/person + $50-160/boat). \nBasic plan: camp at Swayseys on Oct 23 in Green River; drop gear\, run shuttle to Moab\, and start paddling on the 24th; jet boat pickup at Spanish Bottom on Nov 1st back to Moab. Although technically flat water\, afternoon winds can make this a bit of a workout. \nPaddling and river backcountry camping experience needed. 5 jet boat spots were available on Oct 2nd. \nIf you want to go\, call Tex and check the availability of a Spanish Bottom “pickup only” spot for Nov 1st\, then contact Nix for details.

DESCRIPTION:We plan to hike to Greeley Benchmark (6855 ft) as well as Wanlass Hill (5680 ft) and Peak 6706 located in the west of Utah Lake. Mix of road hike\, class 2 scrambling and bushwhacking. SUMMARY:Reynolds Peak (& Tom’s Hill)\, BCC
DESCRIPTION:We plan to bag Reynolds Peak in BCC\, weather\, conditions and situation permitting. We may also go to Tom’s Hill. If we do Reynolds Peak only and out and back\, the distance will be 6.6 miles RT with 2103 feet gain. Going to Tom’s Hill and making a loop add slight distance but not a lot. Please bring 10 Essentials as well as micro-spikes. If there is lots of snow\, we may also need to use snowshoes. Avalanche rescue gear (beacon\, probe & shovel) is recommended but not required. SUMMARY:Kerry's 40th Birthday Bash
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the WMC’s running queen at our house. There will be food\, drinks\, dancing\, and of course running. \n6 PM – Party Run. Starting at our house\, throw on some colorful clothing\, a silly hat\, and any portable colorful lights you can strap to yourself. The run through Sugar House will be short (3 miles) at a beginner-friendly pace\, and will have a killer soundtrack. \n7 PM – Dinner. Back at our house\, we’ll order some pizza. Chip in $10 if you want a share or feel free to bring your own food. \n8 PM – Dance. Get funky in our garage. \n9 PM – Party Run II. We’ll do a second round of running around the neighborhood. Once again\, crazy flashing lights are highly encouraged. \nEverybody is welcome. Running is not required. Let me know if you want to be included in the pizza order. Hope you can all make it!
