We attempted this peak via Bair Canyon as a snowshoe activity in winter. But we did not make it because lots of snow slowed down our pace. We will try to make this peak without snow this time. Hike/Snowshoe/Ski – Alta or Brighton
We will see if we have enough snow for snowshoeing/skiing or hiking. I will update the description based on snow conditions when it gets closer to the date.
Located on the east side of Ogden, the summit of Malans Peak offers dramatic views out over the community, the Great Salt Lake and the surrounding mountains. Text me if you are planning to go. Bring 10 essentials and microspikes if it has snowed.

Black Mt via Emigration Canyon
It is possible to hike to Black Mt (8255 ft) from the Avenue side or the Emigration Canyon side. But we plan to go there from the Emigration Canyon side. I have hiked this route solo close to the summit but did not go to the summit. Approximately 9 miles RT with 2000 ft gain. (more...)

Greeley Benchmark & More
We plan to hike to Greeley Benchmark (6855 ft) as well as Wanlass Hill (5680 ft) and Peak 6706 located in the west of Utah Lake. Mix of road hike, class 2 scrambling and bushwhacking. November. Nice Fall hike. The Major Flag is a 150-by 78 ft American Flag that will be in Coldwater Canyon for Veterans Week starting approximately Nov. 7.
